Assembly for All Nations was founded in July 2015 in Lilongwe, Malawi, by Rev Dr Lusayo Efraim Mwanganya and Rev Mrs Charity Mwanganya. The church began with a conviction that the message of Jesus Christ must reach people beyond one congregation, one city and one nation.
From the beginning, AfAN’s direction has combined evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, church planting and the strengthening of local congregations. Its growth has therefore been understood not simply as expansion in numbers, but as the multiplication of healthy churches and prepared leaders.
AfAN was established with a worldwide Gospel and church-planting vision.
The founders’ ministry work expanded into South Africa, opening a new season of pastoral leadership, missions and church planting in the Western Cape.
After years of pastoral and church-planting ministry in the Western Cape, AfAN Cape Town was established as part of the wider Assembly for All Nations vision.
AfAN’s ministry presence has extended through work and relationships in Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Israel, with a continuing vision to reach further nations.
The AfAN story is still being written. The church seeks to grow through faithful preaching, intentional discipleship, prayer, leadership development, missions and the planting of churches that are spiritually healthy, locally rooted and capable of multiplying.
