Mobilising the whole church to proclaim Jesus Christ clearly, compassionately and consistently.
Evangelism Ministries exists to keep Gospel proclamation at the centre of AfAN’s life. Its mandate is to equip believers to share the good news of Jesus Christ, organise evangelistic initiatives, follow up new believers and help every local assembly develop a culture in which reaching the lost is the responsibility of the whole church.
These responsibilities translate the mandate into consistent ministry practice, planning and accountability.
Train members in personal evangelism and Gospel communication.
Plan and support local evangelistic campaigns, outreach and community witness.
Develop follow-up systems for new believers and interested contacts.
Work closely with Missions where outreach leads to new church plants.
Encourage testimony, prayer for the lost and evangelistic hospitality.
Use appropriate public, relational and digital channels to communicate the Gospel.
Every local assembly should have a practical evangelism rhythm that includes prayer, training, outreach, follow-up and integration of new believers. Evangelism is not only an event; it is a lifestyle and a responsibility shared by the entire church.
Activities should be planned, budgeted, reported and evaluated within the appropriate AfAN leadership structure, with programmes remaining consistent with the church’s doctrine, vision, mission and policies.
Connect with your local AfAN leadership to learn how you can participate, volunteer, pray, give or help strengthen this area of ministry.
