The Division of Theological Institutions has oversight over AfAN theological institutions. Its mandate is to coordinate their programmes, collect management information, ensure strategic and budgetary planning, facilitate self-evaluation, receive progress reports and ensure that each institution implements the vision, mission and policies of Assembly for All Nations.
These responsibilities translate the mandate into consistent ministry practice, planning and accountability.
Coordinate programmes and activities of AfAN theological institutions.
Support curriculum, faculty and institutional development within approved standards.
Collect information needed for sound governance and decision-making.
Ensure strategic plans, budgets and periodic evaluations are developed and reviewed.
Receive institutional reports and monitor progress.
Prepare pastors, missionaries, teachers and Christian leaders for effective service.
Local assemblies help identify potential ministry candidates, encourage theological formation and support students attending AfAN-approved institutions. Training should remain connected to practical church service, mentoring and accountable ministry formation.
Activities should be planned, budgeted, reported and evaluated within the appropriate AfAN leadership structure, with programmes remaining consistent with the church’s doctrine, vision, mission and policies.
