Assembly for All Nations was founded by Rev Dr Lusayo Efraim Mwanganya, Founder and Global President, together with his wife Rev Mrs Charity Mwanganya, Co-founder. Their ministry partnership has been shaped by a conviction that the Gospel must be preached, believers must be discipled, leaders must be equipped, and healthy churches must be planted across nations.

From Lilongwe, Malawi, their ministry journey has expanded across borders through pastoral leadership, church planting, teaching, missions and the development of leaders for local and international ministry.

Founder & Global President

Rev Dr Lusayo Efraim Mwanganya

Rev Dr Lusayo Efraim Mwanganya serves as Founder and Global President of Assembly for All Nations. His calling centres on preaching Jesus Christ, developing leaders, establishing churches and building structures that enable the church to serve effectively from local assemblies to the global level.

Education and formation

His qualifications include Doctor of Ministry (DMin), Master of Christian Leadership (MCL), Bachelor of Theology (BTh) and Bachelor of Christian Leadership (BCL).

Writing and teaching

He is the author of Listen to His Inner Voice and Understanding Your Spouse, extending his teaching ministry through Christian leadership, personal growth, relationships and spiritual formation.

Ministry journey

After AfAN was founded in Lilongwe in July 2015, his ministry journey later extended to Cape Town, South Africa, from the end of May 2017. He served in pastoral leadership in the Western Cape and participated in church planting before AfAN Cape Town was planted on 6 August 2023.

Co-founder

Rev Mrs Charity Mwanganya

Rev Mrs Charity Mwanganya serves as Co-founder of Assembly for All Nations. She has shared in the prayer, sacrifice, pastoral support and ministry development that have accompanied AfAN from its beginnings in Malawi into its wider international mission.

Education and formation

Her qualifications include a Master of Christian Leadership (MCL) and a Bachelor of Christian Leadership (BCL).

Ministry partnership

Her ministry contribution reflects AfAN’s commitment to spiritual formation, family life, compassionate service, discipleship and the strengthening of people for faithful Christian living.

A shared global calling

Together, the founders continue to pursue the vision of a global family of churches that reaches people with the Gospel, disciples believers and plants churches that plant churches.

A family sharing the journey of faith

Rev Dr Lusayo Efraim Mwanganya and Rev Mrs Charity Mwanganya have three children: Don, Dumisani and Diana. Together, the Mwanganya family has shared in the journey of faith, perseverance and service that has accompanied the growth of Assembly for All Nations.

Ministry Support

Building capacity for mission

The founders have also developed initiatives outside the local church that support ministry and community development. Lusayo Mwanganya Holdings Limited has been used to support church and ministry activities while remaining organizationally distinct from AfAN’s ecclesiastical governance.
