What AfAN Promotes

Edification

AfAN promotes the spiritual building up of believers through Scripture, discipleship, character formation, training and ministry.

AfAN Ministry Priority

Edification

Edification means building believers toward maturity in Christ. AfAN seeks to help people grow in biblical understanding, Christian character, spiritual gifts, healthy relationships and practical service. The aim is a Church in which believers are not only converted, but continually formed and equipped.

Why this matters

The New Testament describes the Church as a body in which every member contributes to growth. Edification strengthens faith, protects believers from instability and prepares them to serve others. It connects preaching and teaching with mentoring, accountability, ministry experience and lifelong learning.

In Practice

How this is expressed

Biblical Teaching

Preaching, Bible study and teaching ministries help believers understand and live the Word of God.

Discipleship & Mentoring

Believers grow through relationships that encourage accountability, prayer, learning and practical obedience.

Training for Service

AfAN equips members for ministry through workshops, theological formation, leadership development and supervised service.

For Members & Local Churches

Putting edification into action

Members can pursue edification by studying Scripture consistently, joining discipleship groups, receiving mentoring, attending training, practising what they learn and using their gifts to build others rather than seeking personal recognition.
