Biblical integrity means receiving Scripture as the authoritative guide for faith and conduct and seeking to teach, interpret and apply it faithfully. AfAN promotes sound doctrine together with a life that reflects the character of Christ. Truth and conduct belong together.

Why this matters

Churches can be weakened by false teaching, manipulation, moral compromise or practices that are disconnected from Scripture. Biblical integrity helps protect the Church, guides leaders, gives believers a reliable foundation and ensures that spiritual experience is tested rather than accepted uncritically.

Our Commitments

How AfAN approaches biblical integrity

Teach the whole counsel of Scripture responsibly and in context.
Keep AfAN doctrine aligned with its Statement of Fundamental Truths and governing documents.
Encourage believers to examine teaching carefully rather than follow personalities blindly.
Require leaders to model honesty, holiness, accountability and responsible use of authority.
Reject manipulation, exploitation and teaching or conduct that contradicts Scripture.
Correct error with truth, pastoral care, due process and a goal of restoration where appropriate.

Sound Teaching

Preachers and teachers are expected to handle Scripture carefully and distinguish biblical truth from personal opinion.

Leadership should demonstrate transparency, accountability, servant-hearted authority and responsible stewardship.

Discernment & Correction

Believers are equipped to test teachings and practices, raise concerns responsibly and seek biblical correction without creating unnecessary division.

Members can grow in biblical integrity by reading Scripture in context, learning sound doctrine, comparing teaching with the Bible, asking responsible questions, practising what they believe and choosing truth even when compromise would be easier.
